THE STUDIO JOURNAL

A beautiful image is only one part of a creative project. Before purchasing a digital download, check whether its license covers what you intend to make, how you will sell it and how many items you plan to produce.

Start with the intended use

For private home decoration, personal projects and gifts that are not sold, the Personal option may be suitable. It does not cover business use. If the project is commercial, compare the business license options instead.

Commercial and Extended have different limits

At Emaga Digital Studio, Commercial allows up to 500 end products incorporating your own meaningful design. Extended allows up to 10,000 end products and includes conventional physical art prints. Neither option includes print-on-demand production.

Choose POD for print-on-demand

The Print-on-Demand option allows up to 1,000 physical POD items, and the artwork may be the main design. Check the full terms as well as your production provider’s requirements before listing a product.

Keep the source file private

These licenses are non-exclusive. They do not transfer copyright or permit resale or sharing of the original source files. Separate licenses do not automatically combine their permissions.

This guide is a summary of our artwork license options. The Artwork License Guide and the option selected on the product page govern your purchase. If your intended use falls outside those terms, contact us before buying.
